IIT Bombay conducts the Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) to provide admission to aspirants in Master of Design (MDes) and Ph.D. programs offered at colleges accepting CEED scores.

The entrance exams for CEED (Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electronics Department) are fast approaching. The exhaustive preparations have to begin now if you want to crack CEED 2023.

The CEED 2021 result, along with the scorecard, was released on March 8 by IIT Bombay. The total number of participating institutions and sharing institutions are 7 and 11, respectively, for MDes admissions.CEED provides counseling for various institutes to enable the student to make quick and easy decisions. As an initiative founded by IIT Bombay, CEED relies on the research conducted by the institute.

CEED 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for CEED 2023 are that candidates must have completed their degree/diploma / postgraduate degree after three years of 10+2 level education by July 2023, or they should give the final examination for such a program by then.

Age Limit: Age will not be considered when determining eligibility to appear for the CEED exam.

CEED 2023 Admission Process

You can follow the steps below to make sure that your application gets accepted into CEED.

●    Fill CEED 2023 Application Form

To apply for the CEED exam, aspirants have to visit the official website of the exam. To apply for the exam, applicants have to fill out an application form and pay the application fee in cash by visiting the payment counter.

●    Download CEED 2023 Admit Card

Aspirants can download their CEED admit card from the official website of the exam. Candidates must carry a printout of their CEED admit card along with their prescribed photo ID proof on exam day.

●    CEED 2023 Exam

The overall exam pattern of CEED comprises two parts, A and B. Part A is of the objective type that covers vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension, etc. In contrast, Part B consists of sketchbook design as well as drawing questions.

●    Check CEED Result

The results of the Centralized Admission Process were announced in May. The result will be available on the official site of the CEED exam in July. The candidates who qualify for Part I will appear for part II, which is mandatory.

●    Check Admission Status Post CEED 2023 Exam

There is no guarantee of getting a seat on passing the CEED exam. After getting through, students need to appear for college tests and interviews, which are conducted by specific colleges that take part in CEED exam joint counselling and those institutions that do not.

CEED 2023 Exam Pattern

The CEED 2023 Exam Pattern consists of two parts, Part A and Part B. Not only is it bound to change the way businesses look at sales forecasting, but it’s also known for the excitement that courses through the Salesforce community during its release week.

  • We will use the results from part A to shortlist candidates.
  • For candidates who are shortlisted after Part A, we will evaluate your Part B answer books manually.
  • Aptitude Tests Part A is designed to assess candidates’ potential for becoming interior designers. It will cover different design aspects such as colour, pattern and texture, and you will have to be creative in creating a particular design based on a given brief.
  • Part B consists of writing skills.

The final CEED score is calculated by giving 25% weightage to marks obtained in Class Xth board exams and 75% weightage to scores obtained in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).

Program Details

Students aspiring for design education can apply for MDes and PhD programmes at FIDM, IIT-Delhi, Rachna Sagar, RISD etc. The score of CEED 2021 is valid for a year after the declaration of the result.

Admission is based on merit, results of entrance tests, portfolio, interview (for some departments), and the possibility of a waiting list. Your application may be placed on the waiting list if there are more students than seats available. Admission will be offered to students from the waiting list in order of CEED score. Your admission status will be communicated to you via email when further decisions regarding your application for admission have been made.

CEED is a single-window entrance exam conducted to get candidates admitted to various Delhi institutes and other NCR regions.
