JIPMER selection procedure

A French government initiative established by the French in 1823 led to establishing the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER). As early as 1956, the French Government laid a new medical college foundation, and as late as 1964, a new hospital was inaugurated. After JIPMER was designated as an institution of national importance by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in 2008, the Indian Government recognized JIPMER as a national resource. Health care institutions are defined as those that provide care to patients, conduct research and provide teaching about health. The JIPMER campus stretches over 192 acres. There are two administrative blocks, one academic centre, one nursing college, seven hospital blocks, seven accessory service buildings and four residential complexes. There are 12 broad medical, nursing, and allied health science courses offered, covering the full spectrum of healthcare subject areas from the basics to the super specialties. Once the information for GATE 2024 is available, a notification for the exam will be issued. In the announcement, it is not specified whether any official updates will be released regarding the exam changes. Among the new things that were introduced for the GATE conducted last year are:

Currently, JIPMER is one of the few institutions in the country with world-class teaching from undergrad to super specialty and subspecialty and conducts groundbreaking research and delivers exceptional specialty care. By providing free speciality healthcare while maintaining quality and safety, JIPMER has become one of the unique models of healthcare in the country. As a model of how future hospital speciality care will be provided, JIPMER’s development of one of the best treatment programs, even for the least privileged, is worth recognizing. The JIPMER medical school continues to be ranked among the top five medical schools in the country. The JIPMER network has been expanded with new campuses, including JIPMER Karaikkal, JIPMER outreach centre at Yanam, and an OPD screening block and super speciality extension area that will be finished by the end of this year. During this period, designing concepts for Puducherry’s second campus for the Institute of Organ Transplantation and the Institute of Advanced Trauma and Rehabilitation began.

There’s no doubt that JIPMER MBBS is a very competitive examination. Compared to national-level medical entrance examinations such as NEET and AIIMS, JIPMER is easier. Like NEET and AIIMS. Despite that, due to the overwhelming number of students who compete for just 200 seats, chances for admission to JIPMER are slim. Candidates should thoroughly complete the syllabus for JIPMER MBBS to achieve high marks.
