JNU or Jawahar Lal Nehru University provides candidate admission into various undergraduate, post-graduate and Ph.D. programmes. It is commenced by National Testing Agency (NTA) and schedule Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Examination (JNUEE) as well as Combined Entrance Examination for Biotechnology (CEEB). JNU 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the JNU entrance exam 2024 are as follows-

For B.A (Hons.) 1st Year

  • Candidate must have passed or appearing 12th class or equivalent from a recognized board.
  • Certificate of Alimiah with minimum 45% marks and passed English Language subject at the senior secondary level or a three-year course conducted by Darul-Uloom Deoband

 B.A. (Hons.) 2nd Year

  • Candidate must have cleared 1st year of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent examination from a recognized university

For M.A. Course

  • Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks in any discipline from a recognized university

M.Phil. / PhD Program

  • Candidate must have a master’s degree from a recognized university 
  • Candidate aspiring for a fellowship through the JRF category under the national eligibility test (NET) are also eligible

M.Sc in Life Sciences

  • B.Tech or B.Sc. or Equivalent in Biological, Physical or Biotechnology or Agricultural Sciences. Candidates have At least 55% marks

MA in Economics

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor degree in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks. Also have a good knowledge of 10+2 Mathematics.

MCA

  • Candidate must have a Bachelor degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks required.

M.Tech  (Statistical Computing / Computer Science and Technology)

  • For JNU M.Tech, the Candidate must have a master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering, Operational Research or in any branch of Science, MCA with a minimum of 55% marks

JNU 2024 Application Form

You can follow these steps to fill the application form online-

  • Visit the official website of JNU and click on the apply button. The official website of JNU University is https://www.jnu.ac.in/
  • The application form will be opened, fill the form with accurate information and click on the Next button
  • After that, you have to upload the digital photograph, signature, and other documents
  • Now Click on the submit button, a new screen with all the information filled will appear, review the application and check for all the details again
  • Now pay the fee online using Net banking, credit card, or debit card
  • Your application is filled, take a printout of the application and payment receipt for future use

Admit Card

Admit card for JNU is released once the exam date is closing usually, 2-3 weeks before the examination. You can download the admit card from the official website. It is important for the candidates participating in the JNU entrance exam to follow the guidelines mentioned on the Admit card.

JNU 2024 Exam Result

The Exam result will be released within a month or two after the examination is conducted. Along with the result, a cut-off will also be released which is the minimum marks required for the candidates to pass the examination for admission.­­­

Counselling

Counselling is a process where the candidates who have passed the Entrance test finalizes their seats and the admission to the different courses. In this event, you have to visit the venue on the notified date with the necessary documents and confirm your sea. You have to select the college that you want to choose as well however the availability of the college also depends on the merit.

Documents Required for Counselling

The following are the document that you have to carry when visiting the counselling session-

  • Class 10 /high school or its equivalent examination certificate
  • Class 12 marks sheet/ grade sheet or equivalent qualifying
  • 10 recent colour photographs
  • Graduation Degree/ Marks Sheet
  • Master’s Degree / Marks Sheet
  • Migration/ transfer/ character certificate from the last attended institution
  • SC/ST/OBC Category certificates (if any)
  • Admission fee payment at the cash counter of the admission venue either in cash or through bank demand draft (DD) from a nationalized bank
