PESSAT is a university-level test administered by PES University, Bangalore, for admission to undergraduate and graduate programs every year. A public announcement regarding the PESSAT 2025 Exam Date was made recently. The exam will take place from July to August 2025. To book the PESSAT 2025 slots, students need to be registered on a first-come, first-served basis. Those candidates outside of Bangalore have until July 25, while those in Bangalore have until July 2025, to register for the PESSAT 2025 exam.

It is the responsibility of PES University to design the exam pattern and syllabus. In addition to the total number of questions, marks distribution, marking scheme, and other related details of the exam, the exam pattern also provides information about how marks are distributed. Three different papers were given. Each one lasted three hours (180 minutes) and contained the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English.

The eligibility requirements for PESSAT

If you are interested in applying for PESSAT, it is mandatory to be sure that you meet all the criteria. A different set of eligibility criteria applies to different types of courses. Applicants are advised to thoroughly review the eligibility criteria before proceeding to fill out the application form.

For PESSAT 2025, only Indian citizens are eligible to apply. To qualify for the various courses offered by PES University, you must meet the following criteria:

Coursework for the B. Tech degree

  • Candidates must have passed their 12th or equivalent examination from a recognized board to be considered.
  • A qualified candidate must have taken Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics in their qualifying examinations.
  • To qualify for the qualifying examination, candidates must have scored at least 60% on the aggregate.

Coursework for MTech

  • It is a prerequisite that full-time candidates have completed B. Tech in a related field that is in turn recognized by the board.

Bachelor of Business Administration

  • Candidates must have passed their 12th or equivalent examination from a recognized board to be considered.

MBA Program

  • Applicants for the position of Creative Director should have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
  • All candidates are eligible to apply, including appearing candidates.

Master of Computer Applications

  • The candidate must have graduated from a recognized university in any field requiring a Bachelor degree.
  • It is required that candidates pass the qualifying examination with a Computer Science or Mathematics or Computer Programming or Business Mathematics or Business Statistics or Statistics selected as one of the electives.
  • To be eligible for the qualifying examination, candidates must have scored a minimum of 50%.

BBA LLB and B.Arch.

  • B.Arch. Applicants must have passed the NATA examination before being accepted into the program.
  • A candidate must have passed the CLAT examination to be eligible for admission to the BBA LLB program.
  • The application form for the PESSAT 2025 exam requires that candidates upload their NATA or CLAT scorecard.

Candidates who do not meet the eligibility requirements for a particular course are not eligible to apply for PESSAT 2025.

There is no offline application mode for PESSAT 2025. All applications must be filled out online. You can download the application forms. In addition, candidates must complete the application form carefully because the university will reject incorrectly filled out forms.

Courses Offered

For Undergraduate Courses

A B. Tech course at PESU offers seven different specializations. A B. Tech is also part of the engineering degree program. The Integrated B. Tech-MTech. program allows for double specialization. Students can choose from a variety of specialization subjects.

All applicants seeking admission to undergraduate programs at PESU must take the PESSAT entrance exam. The final merit lists for all applicants are developed according to the applicants’ academic standing and their scores in the entrance examination.

The test scores from PESSAT and CET are also considered, including PGCET, UCEED, MAT, CMAT, CAT, GMAT, GRE, and other national tests. PES University makes the final decision regarding the exams considered.

To qualify for the MBBS degree, you need to sit for the NEET Entrance Exam, and the merit list is prepared based on your NEET score and the marks attained in your previous examinations.

For Postgraduate Courses

Postgraduate courses at PES University include M.E./MTech., M.Sc., M.B.A., M.C.A., M.Com., M.Pharm., M.D., M.S. Various degrees are awarded under different specializations.

In the M.D. program, there are clinical, pre-clinical and paraclinical streams and a multitude of specializations available. Among the thirteen streams that make up M.E. / MTech courses, five options are specific to each stream. Two years are the duration of all of these courses.

To be admitted to the M.E./MTech programme, a candidate must take the PESSAT / PGCET (Post Graduate Common Entrance Test), followed by an interview on the university campus on the same day of the test.

Candidates interested in pursuing M.D. and M.S. degrees will need to take the NEET examination and the qualifying examination. The M.D. and M.S. merit lists are prepared, considering this examination.
