The insurance advisor license is issued by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDA), which is an insurance regulatory government body. To obtain the license, you need to pass the IC 38 exam.

The  IRDA and the Insurance Institute of India conduct exams for insurance advisors. The exam is conducted online at various exam centers. A total of 50 multiple-choice questions are asked and you need to score 35% or answer 18 correct answers. The duration for the IC 38 exam is 60 minutes.
