MPPSC Exam Eligibility, Syllabus, Admit Card, Result, and Fee Details

MPPSC stands for Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission they conduct this exam. These exams are conducted annually for different posts in state GOVT departments. MPPSC is conducted in three stages which are Prelims, mains, and interviews.

MPPSC Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for MPPSC are mentioned below:

  • The candidate should be an Indian citizen.
  • Female candidates who married an already married man whose wife is still alive are not eligible to sit in the exam.
  • Male candidates with two wives who are alive are not eligible to sit in the exam.
  • Candidates who committed a crime against women are not eligible.
  • Candidates whose case is going on but not found guilty can sit in the exam and clear it but it can’t be posted until his/her case is over and if he/she is found innocent only then they can work.
  • Candidates who claim in reservation but in more than one are not eligible to take an exam.

For Uniform Posts:

  • The minimum age of the candidate should be 21 years and the maximum age should be 40 years.

For Non-Uniform Posts:

  • The maximum age should not exceed that of the candidate.

Upper Age Limit Relaxations:

  • All women candidates irrespective of their domicile (treat a specified country as a permanent home) have 5 5-year age relaxation.
  • SC/ST/OBC domicile of MP has 5 years of age relaxation.
  • Burma, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka’s authentic repatriate of Indian origin holding an Indian Passport has 3 years of age relaxation
  • DSP has 3 years of age relaxation.
  • 5-year age relaxation for Vikram Award- honored sportsmen, as per MPPSC General AD Memo.
  • 2-year age relaxation for green card holders from FWP.
  • 3-year age relationship for Divorcee, Widow, or abandoned women at the time of their first appointment.

MPPSC Qualification

The educational qualification for MPPSC is mentioned below:

  • Candidate must be a graduate of a recognized university.
  • Candidate must have technical and professional qualifications which should be government-recognized or equivalent.

MPPSC Exam Syllabus

MPPSC exam has three stages first one is the preliminary exam then the main exam and if you clear both rounds then you can give the last round which is the interview. The preliminary exam and mains exam both has different syllabus or subjects which is mentioned below:

Preliminary Examination

The preliminary exam pattern is divided into paper 1 and paper 2. Paper 1 is about General Studies and Paper 2 is about the General Aptitude Test. The details about the subject are mentioned below:

Paper 1 (General Studies)

  • General Science and Environment
  • Current Events of National and International Importance
  • History of India and Independent India
  • Indian Polity and Economy
  • Sports
  • Geography. History and Culture of M.P.
  • Polity and Economy of M.P
  • Information and Communication Technology

Paper 2 (General Aptitude Test)

  • Comprehension
  • General mental ability
  • Logical reasoning and analytical ability
  • Decision-making and problem-solving
  • Interpersonal skills, including communication skill
  • Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, the order of magnitude, etc.-Class X level)
  • Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency, etc.-Class X level)
  • Hindi Language Comprehension Skill (Class X level)

Mains Examination

After clearing the Preliminary Examination you can sit in the mains examination. Mains exam has a total of six papers. There are four general studies papers and two Hindi papers, Details about it mentioned below:

General Studies 1

The General Studies paper 1 is about History and Geography. The first exam questions will be related to history and geography.

General Studies 2

The General Studies paper 2 is related to the Constitution, Governance, Political, Administrative Structure, Economics, and Sociology.

General Studies 3

The General Studies paper 3 is related to Science and Technology and the questions are based on the class 10th science, discoveries, and latest topics.

General Studies 4

The General Studies paper 4 is related to philosophy, psychology, and public administration.

The last two exams are the Hindi exam and the 2nd Hindi exam is related to Essay in Hindi.

MPPSC Exam Fee

To successfully apply for the MPPSC exam candidates need to fill out the online application form and then pay the application fee. The MPPSC exam fees vary for different categories which are mentioned below:

  • SC/ST/OBC/PWD resident of MP has to pay RS250/- as fee
  • Other has to pay Rs500/- as fee

Application fee for mains examination:

  • SC/ST/OBC/PWD resident of MP has to pay Rs400/- as fee
  • Other has to pay Rs800/- as fee
