SBI PO 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The following are the eligibility criteria for participating in the SBI PO entrance examination-

Nationality

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India
  • The candidates who are not a citizen of India but are from Nepal, Bhutan, or Tibetan Refugee came to India before 1962
  • A person of Indian origin migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, or the East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, and Malawi with intention of permanent settlement

Note- The non-citizens of India must provide a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India to apply for the SBI PO Post.

Age Limit

  • The age limit for participating in the SBI PO examination is between 21 years of age to 31 years of age, however, for reserved category candidate, there are reservations, which is as follows-

The following is the application form for the SBI PO entrance examination-

  • Visit the official website of SBI’s Careers page and click on the SBI PO link
  • Now, you’ll be redirected to a page where you’ll have to get yourself registered
  • After registration, login to your account using your login credentials
  • After logging in, you’ll have to fill out the application form with details like name, address, education qualification, etc
  • Now, upload the documents mentioned below followed by clicking on the pay button
  • You can pay for the application fee using your credit card/debit card, net banking, etc.
  • After successful payment, download the application form and payment receipt for future use

SBI PO Selection Process

The selection process for SBI PO is based on merit and performance. The selection process of SBI PO is divided into three stages, which are as follows-

Stage-1 SBI PO Preliminary

The very first stage is prelims which is a qualifying marks examination and the candidates are required to score enough marks i.e., more than the cut-off marks to pass the entrance examination.

Stage-2 Mains

The candidate who clears the prelims exams is allowed to participate in the mains examination. The candidates will have to give objective as well as descriptive type answers.

Stage-3 GD and Interview

The candidates who have successfully cleared the mains examination then will have to participate in the GD as well as interview sessions organized by the banks.

The final merit list will be prepared based on the mains, GD, and Interview marks scored. Cut-off marks will be released based on the category and the final selection for SBI PO will be done.
