The Indian Institute for Social Welfare and Business Management (IISMBM) was created in 1953 by the Senate of the University of Calcutta and is a private institution in Kolkata, West Bengal. The Institute is AICTE-approved and associated with Calcutta University. It is the first institution in Asia to provide an MBA. There are many programs for PG, PG, short-term and research. IISMBW faculty members have a strong background in their various disciplines including teachers, assistant teachers, research assistants and contacting assistants.

The IISWBM campus provides a large seminar room, a language and information technology lab, an auditorium, video meeting room and an enabled canteen for students, including a well-stocked library, a conference room and three meeting rooms. There is a huge IT laboratory (business intelligence laboratory) with over 50 workstations and sophisticated audio-vides. There are more than 50,000 books, 84 reviews, 1375 CD-ROMs and 96 cassettes in the IISWBM collection. IISWBM offers an active student centre on the recreational front, where students may share ideas and take part in various events. It also offers hostels to children, including cafeteria amenities, a big dining room for up to 32 guests, a common living space with LCD TV, play facilities, a terrace and others. It also has hostels for boys and women.

IISWBM 2024 Admission Process

In both online and offline modes, IISWBM 2024 accepts admission forms. To apply for IISWBM admission process, you must register and fill out a form online. The applicant may, for offline mode, download the request form which may be accessible at the Institute’s official website or purchase it at the IISWBM receiving office by paying in cash the required sum.  Candidates must be present for the CAT, followed by a round of the Group Discussion & Personal Interview (GD/PI) for admission to MBA (Day and the MBA-HRM programmes offered by the IISWBM.

• Admission to public systems IISWBM MBA is based on the score either of CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/JEMAT/GATE/ATMA, or on the candidate’s qualification at prior examination. Applicants must have two years of work experience

• Admission is based on the MAT score for the Master in Retail Management (MRM)

The IISWBM administers an internal test to select students for a Master’s degree in Social Welfare (MSW).

• Admission is granted on the basis of the GD/PI round for all remaining programmes

Placements of IISWBM

There is an active placement cell at IISWBM, which acts as a link between students and hiring groups. It conducts pre-placement conversations with recruiters to disclose the CTC before the placement process starts. Furthermore, the institution offers students internships. The maximum wage was Rs12 LPA and the average wage is Rs4.18 LPA. The graph below is the highest and average CTC in the 2017-19 class. In 1953 the IISWBM was formed (Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Management). It is located in the University of Calcutta in Kolkata. The institute offers fifteen programmes in four sections and is authorised by AICTE.

IISWBM PG Diploma Admission 2024

The entry is based on IISWBM PG Diploma admission. The curriculum consists of six specialisations lasting 2 years.

 A written test followed by GD and PI should be performed for final selection.
